Our TECH-E-INITIATIVE (2017-2019) aimed to foster technological skills and innovation among rural youth and women. By combining training in solar energy and ICT with entrepreneurship skills

We positioned participants to become leaders in clean energy and technology. Over the course of the project, we trained 150 individuals in solar installations and 30 in renewable energy, with 150 females specifically trained in solar panel production. This initiative enhanced technological competencies, sowing seeds of possibilities among young women to pursue tech careers.

The OLEJU Entrepreneurship Hub (2017-2021) focused on empowering marginalized women and girls, with special interest in single mothers living in rural and sub-urban communities in the Niger Delta through vocational skills training and business development.

Our facility opened in 2017 as a one room demarcation from our open office, where we trained young women to recycle non-biodegradable items into arts and craft that can be sold for money

Leap Africa & Union Bank steps in...

In 2018 through Leap Africa support and Union bank sponsorship, we gained our first grant which enabled us to scale our impact from 20 beneficiaries to 150.  In 2019, leveraging on our impact, we received the Google Impact Challenge Award for Africa, where we received a major grant and support to establish the first and only entrepreneurship hub for women in Delta – state.

Google support in 2019...

Through Google’s support, we established clusters across communities and collectively supported 1250 women in acquiring new skills, Fashion design, Bag making, Shoe making, jewelry making, Arts and crafts, creative recycling, and woodwork. Our facility was inclusive of a childcare facility to support women with young children

This program was funded for 2 years by Google and another 3 years through sustainable practices. Through its impact, we challenged gender roles and improved economic opportunities for rural women, resulting in several beneficiaries transitioning into business owners and employees.

In 2019, leveraging on our impact, we received the Google Impact Challenge Award for Africa, where we received a major grant and support to establish the first and only entrepreneurship hub for women in Delta – state
