The CIOVID pandemic in 2020 ushered in unprecedented times for the world and affected most social programs that were person centered, we saw this as a crucial time to innovate to serve our population of beneficiaries, women, bread winners whose livelihood were brutally affected by the lockdowns globally.
We launched a digital solution aimed at empowering rural micro businesses, especially women led through access to bridge financial and digital inclusion gaps for rural women entrepreneurs. We provided business development training, financial literacy education, and access to micro loans and digital tools.
With 300 entrepreneurs trained and 400 finance trackers distributed( A financial literacy and business finance record book tailored to the needs and literacy levels of small business women, the program significantly improved financial management, access to education through audios offline and online, and digital skills. This initiative helped revive closed businesses, support new startups, and enhance the standard of living for beneficiaries’ families.
