Since 2017, our initiatives have prioritized gender equality and economic empowerment, impacting rural communities through innovative programs designed by and for women.

Lumina, our Safe-Space Program was launched in 2017 to tackle the exploitation and under-development of young girls and women leading to gender-based violence, illiteracy, underage pregnancies and death, prevalent in rural communities in the south-south region of Nigeria.
Through a comprehensive program, we engaged girls in interactive sessions, teaching them life skills and creating awareness about their bodies and the value they possess. Our girls also acquired skills in computer literacy, fashion design, and others while offering critical support such as counseling and financial assistance for sanitary hygiene. This initiative directly benefited over 430 teenage girls between 2017-2023, providing them with essential skills and support, including handling cases of molestation and domestic violence. The program not only enhanced the participants’ abilities but also fostered greater community awareness and support for gender equality.
