We envision a future where every child in South-South Nigeria has access to a conducive learning environment that promotes their holistic development.

Our Mission

At EWB, we are dedicated to:

• Enhancing Teacher Capacity: Providing ongoing professional development and training for teachers to adopt 21st-century skills and modern teaching methodologies.
• Promoting Activity-Based Learning (ABL): Implementing innovative, interactive, and student-centered teaching techniques to foster better engagement and improved learning outcomes.
• Creating Lasting Impact: Expanding our reach across South-South Nigeria to provide quality education to underserved children, thereby empowering communities through education.

Our Impact: 2023-2024

Since launching in 2023, EWB has made significant strides in advancing education in Delta and Edo States. Here’s a snapshot of our impact:

2023: Delta State Project Highlights

• 500 Teachers Trained: We conducted intensive workshops, equipping teachers with modern skills in Activity-Based Learning (ABL). These techniques have helped create more interactive and engaging classroom environments.
• 1,000 Teachers Indirectly Impacted: Through our stepdown training approach, teachers who participated in the initial workshops shared their knowledge with their peers, extending the benefits of our training program.
• 12,000+ Students Reached: As a result of improved teaching practices, over 12,000 students in Delta State have experienced enhanced learning outcomes, fostering a more dynamic educational experience.

2024: Expansion to Edo State

• 160 Teachers Trained: In Edo State, our program focused on equipping teachers with hands-on ABL techniques to improve classroom engagement and foster a student-centered learning environment.
• 8,674 Students Indirectly Impacted: Improved teaching methods have benefitted thousands of students, offering a more collaborative and engaging learning experience.
• 92% Implementation Rate of ABL: A vast majority of trained teachers expressed a strong likelihood of implementing ABL strategies in their classrooms, demonstrating the effectiveness and acceptance of our training program.
• 96% Teacher Confidence Boost: Our feedback surveys showed a significant increase in teachers’ confidence to apply the new strategies effectively in their classrooms.

Our Vision for the Future: Reaching 50,000 Children by 2027

As we look towards the future, EWB remains committed to expanding our impact. By 2027, we aim to:

• Reach Over 50,000 Children: We plan to enhance the educational experiences of children across South-South Nigeria by equipping schools with better teaching resources and skilled educators.
• Train Over 2,000 Teachers: Our comprehensive teacher training programs will continue to develop educators’ skills, focusing on modern, student-centered teaching techniques.
• Indirectly Impact 4,000 Additional Teachers: Through our stepdown training initiatives, we aim to create a ripple effect that spreads knowledge and innovative practices among educators across the region.
• Enhance Classroom Environments: We are dedicated to ensuring every child experiences an interactive, engaging, and dynamic learning environment that supports their growth and development.
