RUDERF is thrilled to announce its victory at the 2018 Global Engagement Summit (GES) held in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Our Executive Director, Ogholi Alero Sandra, delivered a compelling pitch for our OLEJU project and emerged as the winner among 25 international delegates from across the globe.
The Global Engagement Summit is a leadership development platform that equips young social innovators with the tools and mentorship needed to scale their impactful projects. This year, RUDERF had the privilege of participating in GES’s global pitch competition, where we received invaluable training, networking opportunities, and exposure for our work with marginalized women.
As a result of winning the competition, RUDERF secured mentorship from global leaders and seed funding to further grow the OLEJU project. This significant milestone will enable us to expand our initiatives, empowering more women in rural Nigeria to access economic opportunities and build sustainable livelihoods.
We are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and grateful for the recognition and support from the GES community. This victory marks a key step toward creating lasting, positive change in the lives of disadvantaged women in our target communities.
