Traditional Monarchs Lead the Charge for Education in Idjerhe Kingdom

HRM OTADAFERUA, EDWARD IGHO JP, PNM, ERHIEKEVWE 1, OVIE OF IDJERHE KINGDOM being a “Champion for Education” and an avid supporter of educational programs for his people and youth generally hosted an academic session / paper presentation ceremony in order to establish his commitment to education as a tool for community and nation development. An awareness campaign lecture was given by our founder Miss Okoroleju Alero on #The role of education in community development and enjoined the people comprising of the chiefs, elders and representatives of diverse communities on the need to be involved and ensure education of all is attained and made a mandate for all through support of underserved people and disadvantaged communities.Papers were presented on: Sustaining peace -a veritable for rapid sociopolitical & socioeconomical development in the kingdom presented by Prof Sunny Iyuke, Principal/CEO Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) Effurun.Exploring education as a tool for sustainable Development in the kingdom: by Prof (Mrs) Otete C. okobiah, Vice Chancellor, Western Delta University.An honorary award was also presented to the Monarch on his outstanding support and championing of causes promoting education in his community and beyond, the occasion was well attended by diverse community Monarchs and Rulers in celebration of a great icon.
