Ecoseed: Women Leading in Sustainable Entrepreneurship

About Ecoseed
EcoSeed is an initiative focused on promoting sustainable entrepreneurship among women in rural Nigeria through renewable energy technologies. By providing training, access to affordable durable products and support to launch their climate business to fight energy poverty in their communities. EcoSeed empowers women to lead in climate change action while improving their economic well-being.

How it Works
EcoSeed offers training programs in renewable energy technologies, such as solar power, to women in rural communities. These women are then supported in starting their own small-scale businesses, selling green energy products like solar lamps and fans. The initiative enable women to be front liners in solving energy poverty in their communities through entrepreneurship , allowing them to own their solutions and take pride in its reach and impact.
Objective
The primary objective of EcoSeed is to empower women in rural Nigeria to become leaders in climate change action and sustainable entrepreneurship.
Impact Goals
- • Promote Renewable Energy: EcoSeed aims to increase the adoption of renewable energy technologies in rural communities, reducing reliance on non-sustainable sources.
- • Empower Women Economically: By supporting women in starting green energy businesses, EcoSeed seeks to improve their economic standing and contribute to community development.
- • Champion Environmental Sustainability: EcoSeed works towards broader environmental sustainability goals by promoting the use of clean energy and reducing the carbon footprint in rural areas.
