Princess Favour Adetoro Ajagbe is the Founder of the Woman in you (WIN) Initiative, an advocacy move to campaign against domestic violence meted on females. Favor is 18 years old and a first year student of Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU), Nigeria, where she is currently studying Biochemistry.
In 2017, Ajagbe Favour was selected among 7 other females as a She Stands Ambassadors of the Rural Development and Reformation Foundation, through a pitching competition that had over 50 females from across 20 Secondary Schools on the topic: “Discuss a Global Challenge Facing Women, proffer possible solutions to this issue and why you are passionate about advocating for it.”
Her Woman in You (WIN) project was birthed and incubated in a 3 days boot camp that prepares The She Stands Ambassadors for leadership through advocacy. She gave life to this project through series of enlightenment campaigns, seminars and outreaches to schools, churches and very rural communities within and around her.
Ajagbe Favour has had several seminars with different themes, organized 2 fund raiser events and has impacted over 1000 secondary school students through drama presentations, club activities and seminars across the Niger-Delta Region. She has also impacted the lives of over 20 domestically abused women through her outreaches.
In 2018, Ajagbe Favour won the most Outstanding and innovative She Stands Ambassador of the year. In 2019, she was nominated and chosen as a delegate for the Global Engagement Summit held in Chicago, Illinois, Texas.
Ajagbe Favour is passionate about seeing the ills of domestic abuse completely eradicated and one step at a time, she is getting closer to achieving this goal and making the voices of these women heard.
